I recently installed FF 3.6 and upgraded Java to 6 Update 18. I can use Java just fine in IE. If I goto a java page in FF, Windows tells me "Java has stopped working" and FF becomes unresponsive and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to close it. I've read a lot of forums that FF3.6 has to run Java 6 u10 or later, which I am doing. I also did a full system scan to see if there's any older Java leftovers out there. I'm baffled and I cannot find an error log in Java. Running Vista SP2

Reinstall Firefox and see if everything works.
Visit this page in Firefox to see if Java is properly installed : http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

I reinstalled both, several times. I also down graded to FF 3.5.7 and Java worked in 3.5.7. Hopefully 3.6.1 will patch that problem.
