Sorry to do my first posts on a forum section clearly dominated by IT specialists, but the title of the section seems more in conformity with my topic than any other.
How does one break news or report a site that seems to have a page hijacked by the rogue antivirus mafia? There must be some site that lists and classifies such sites, and perhaps warns those who have been hijacked.
A couple of days ago I discovered a learning site based I believe in the Netherlands (though possibly in Flemish-speaking Belgium), supposedly respectably involved in teaching methods for language learning, that has a page it would seem that links in milliseconds to a second site elsewhere containing one of those fake rogue virus applications that trap you on them and try to infect you with Trojans. I am contacting bleeping computer as you publish (or pass on?) guides to de-installing such systems. I succeeded in escaping without clicking on the screen but feel that something should be done about such sites, both the hijacked one and the hijacker.

I think what you would want to do is to contact the owner/webmaster of the website and let them know what happened
Chances are their site/server could be hacked and they are not aware of it

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits
