I don't want to throw away this perfectly good scanner just becasue I have a new PC running windows 7, 64 bit. I need a driver.
I tried installing Epson software as win xp but it did not work.
I tried as Vista, no good.
I know you can "trick" win 7 with certain drivers; I installed an HP photosmart printer using a driver from another model that worked on win 7.
Is there such a solution here?

Silverfast still supports it. http://www.silverfast.com/get_demo/en.html
I have a 1200u on Vista 64 I was fortunate enough to find hacked Epson drivers for.
