does anyone know about a capture cord that will work with win7x64

What is a "capture cord", joeychan? Googling it only revealed cord untanglers (keeps power cords, USB cords, etc. organized and untangled). I can only assume you mean something different.

If you will explain what it is, I might be able to give some advice on whatever compatibility problems there might be. :huh:

I would think if you simply changed the "o" to a "a" you'd have it.

I considered that, but since it was there twice (topic title and the post itself), I had to assume it was spelled correctly.

Capture cord would certainly be different than capture card.

All right, after Googling "capture card", I found out that the same term is used for a TV tuner card (used to hook up a TV signal to your computer for recording purposes).

Is a Windows 7-compatible TV tuner card what you are looking for, joeychan? :huh:

Yea I wondered about that too but then just figured made the same error twice without realizing it?

Someone put some of the keys back on the keyboard in the wrong locations?

Guess its wait for clarification.

i should have said a capture program and device that has drivers for win7x64 in order to convert analog video into digital video. for example- ads dvdexpress dx2 which does not work with win 7. the cords are for the hardware.

But no, sorry, I don't know anything about this kind of stuff, so I'm no help in finding something compatible with W-7.

Cables typically come with the device, if external. An internal card requires no cables, other than the coax or whatever carries the analog video signal.

Cables work irregardless of O/S...they are just conduits for signals to the capture device.

The device, of course, will either need a Win 7 driver or be spec'd to work with Win 7...same as any other hardware device.
