I am receiving a message when I try to print to my Canon i250 printer which I have had for a few years. It says "The waste ink absorber is almost full." Does anyone know what this will mean - is there some way of emptying it? It says press resume to continue printing and at the moment it does then carry on printing.

A quick Google of that exact message renders what appear to be solutions to the problem.

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Now why didn't I think of Googling! I will have to try and remember that in future.

Thanks for the link - apparently it is a known problem with Canon Printers. It wasn't a very dear printer and I have had it a few years so I won't bother having it serviced but will try resetting it as mentioned in some of the articles when I did a search. At least it is still printing at the moment when I press Resume. I have about eight black and also colour ink cartridges so would like to be able to use them and not get a new printer yet.
