How to implement RAID 0 with out erasing the content Use 2 HDD as 1

is it possible to make your computer use two physically different hard drives as one big one?

yea that looks right. is there a way to implement RAID 0 with out erasing the content on ether disk?

I've never messed with Raid

The only thing I do know is the drives should be the same size
If you use a 80 gig and a 150 gig, the 150 dumbs down to a 80 gig drive. Why waste all that storage?

I'm moving this to Internal Hardware, where you might pick up a few more pair of eyes

so in other words doing this with my 250G and 1T drives won't work? or at least would give me way less space then the 1T alone.

It depends on what you intend to do.

I tried to have windows 7 implement the RAID but when I try it gives the error "The volume requires contiguous disk extents." any idea what this means?

CPU = Intel i7 950

ok I got it to work. I had to format both drives. then when they are set up as unallocated space chose to create a new spanned volume. thanks for the help guys.
