Oh joyce! A friend gave me a 19" lcd to replace my monster  .
I stupidly assume it was going to be "plug and play".
So i plug and no play.
Well, it's starting, it displays the booting screen, the loading bar (just before the windows screen), and then turns to black saying
"none detected".
Ah! it must be the drivers then. I went to the Daewoo site with no luck, and after searching for over an hour, i might
have found some drivers for lcd monitors from 17 to 21". I installed them and try again.
Still no luck.
I replugged my old screen to check the refresh rate, it's on 85. So, should be good right?

This screen works perfectly on my friends computer (no she doesn't have the drivers' CD), and it works on mine
when i start in safe mode.
I honestly don't know what to do now apart from staring at that black screen,
imagining what my favorite game would look like on it.

Oh i forgot to say that i'm on Vista.

Probably not. An LCD would commonly accept a refresh rate of 60Hz to 75Hz, 85 is likely out of range. Try a lower refresh rate and that may solve the problem.
