Hey everyone,

Could really use some guidance with this issue. I don't know what preempted this problem but here is what I see:

Constant DEP (Data Execution Protection)

Message says:

Data Execution Protection

Generic host process for Win32 Services

Then I get the following message to appear:

AXWIN Frame Window: svchost.exe – Application error

The instruction at “0x02c9f7a0” referenced memory at “0x02c9f7a0”. The memory could not be “written”

Eventually, a message comes up and states "This system is shutting down" Shutdown was initiated by NT Authority\System.

O/S is XP Home Edition
Scanned with Malware and it only detected Adware items. Cleaned and rebooted - no effect.

Where do I start?

Thanks in advance for your help. It's greatly appreciated!

-Brent
