I got a virus that when I rebooted and logged into my account I had nothing; no desktop or anything and I was locked out of the task manager also (pretty clever). I ran Malware (under a different user that has admin rights) and it removed about 9 files and now I have the following problems.

•When I log into my account it freezes up in 10 sec or so and is completely locked up, but I can log into another account that is how I ran Malware.
•If I try to go into Safe Mode it just reboots after it gets to mup.sys. So I can’t get to safe mode to try and log into my account.
•I know my profile is hosed up and I can’t get in to fix or restore it because I turned on EFS encryption when I created the profile. When I'm logged in as an administrator there is no access to my folder? I just get access denied.
•Also all of the system restore set points are gone so I can't role it back either!

Seems odd that I can log into another account, but mine freezes up and I can't boot into Safe Mode either?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

FWIW, Windows XP Problems if Your Profile Is Damaged - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326688 AND Copy Data from a Corrupted User Profile to a New Profile in Windows XP - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151.

When I log in under a differnt user I cannot backup my files because I have them encrypted with EFS. So when I click on the folder I get access denied. So either solution will not work, at least I don't think so.
