Think that tail on your cat means something?

Tail Talk

Cat Facts and Trivia

Here are some of them I found really neat:

Quote

Cats purr at the same frequency as an idling diesel engine, about 26 cycles per second.

Quote

A cat's field of vision is about 185 degrees.

Quote

Cat's urine glows under a black light.

Female felines are "superfecund," which means that each of the kittens in her litter can have a different father.

Wow!

When a cat drinks, its tongue - which has tiny barbs on it - scoops the liquid up backwards.

Always knew this. Except the "barbs" on the tongue part.

Thanks yano for sharing.

Crazy stuff!

Yea I found it last night using StumbleUpon and thought it was pretty interesting. And I have 2 cats of my own, and I liked the thing about the tails the most.

Wow, that is cool. I have friends who love cats. I'll have to send it around.

I like cats, too. I just don't have any.

Kittens can have different fathers in the same litter. I did not know that. I did think I had heard something about that though before. We have like 50 cats at the moment...

If the tail is still, but tip is twitching intensely:
The cat is very annoyed.

If the tail is swishing vigorously from side to side:
The cat is angry.*

I know these two for a fact! I learned this while messing with our cats(pestering them) when the tail did those things and the cat had this weird look if I kept on the cat would bite me!

Thanks for sharing those neat sites!

Don't let your kittens play in the microwave.
