Can someone suggest a video card? Help appreciated

I just bought a desktop computer online... its an Acer with dual core 2.2Ghz and 3 Gb ram. It has onboard video in the form of Geforce 8200 integrated chipset.

As I understand it this is some type of hybrid graphics chipset.... I don't really understand it that well.

Basically I want to upgrade the video card and need to know what you guys think would be the best choice for compatability value and 3D graphic performance.

Doesn't have to be top of the line, but I would like to be able to play relatively modern games at a decent frame rate.

I appreciate your help.

I should also mention it has been upgraded to windows 7

Hi, you have two choices, nVidia or ATI. What will you be using the PC for?

I got it mostly to run windows 7 and just home document/photo/video management.

I also plan to play games on it.

I have no preference as I have had good luck with both Geforce and Radeon stuff.

The PSU of that model is only 220W. It is highly unlikely you will find a video card which works.

You will definitely have to replace the stock 220W PSU but that isn't going to be easy.

^ As you can see from the above picture, chances of finding a good replacement for such a PSU seem bleak. They usually max out at 300W. Possible Options

Moreover, you will also need a LOW-PROFILE graphics card. The best option among low-profile cards would be the GeForce 9600GT but that requires atleast a 300W PSU.
