Folder Options Problem A common problem

I have stupidly mucked around in Folder Options.
Now, every time I open a Folder, it opens it in a new Window.
I have been through Folder options about three times and have ticked the box that says "Open in same window"
I have also gone through the individual folder options and made the default "Explore" or "Open".
No success.
ANy help is greatly appreciated.
