Good Day...

I have downloaded and ran rkill.com & MBAM in a Safe Mode. I have ran the rkill 3X times after which my desktop displays: ACTIVE DESKTOP RECOVER - RESTORE MY ACTIVE DESKTOP. I couldn't Restore my Active Desktop anymore. An error box pops up saying:

An Error has occurred in the script on this page
Line: 65
Char: 1
Error: Object don't support this property or method
Code: O
URL: file:///C:/Documents%20and%Settings/Me/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Internet%20Explorer/Desktop.htt

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

YES? NO?

I couldn't update my Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Another error box pops up saying:

An Error Occurred. Please report the following code to Malwarebytes'... Support Team

Error Code: 732 (12029,0)

My Anti-Malware removed 13 infections though.

Please help me Restore My Active Desktop. Have I done something wrong? I am using a different PC now.

Your respond will be much appreciated.

Hello! smile.gif
My name is Sam and I will be helping you.

In order to see what's going on with your computer I'll ask for you to post various logs from the tools that we will use to resolve your issue. Please also share with me any information about how your computer is reacting and behaving each step of the way as we work through this process.

Please download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 2
Link 3

Important!
You should NOT use Combofix unless you have been instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert.
It is intended by its creator to be used under the guidance and supervision of an Malware Removal Expert, not for private use.
Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

Make sure that you save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop
  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please copy and paste the contents of C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Failing to respond back to the person that is giving up their own time to help you not only is insensitive and disrespectful, but it guarantees that you will never receive help from me again. Please thank your helpers and there will always be help here when you need it!
