I'm Running windows Vista. I have no clue how this happened. But I was just working on windows movie maker like always and checking my facebook. Now one day I noticed that the password in my yahoo account and facebook randomly changed. Now I fixxed that (sending passwords to other emails, that sort). I changed my passwords. The Next day I start noticing many things happening one by one. First of all Windows Defender started acting slow. it warned me of some trojans during a scan. And a windows update promts the computer to restart. After restarting, i noticed I Can no longer open windows defender. I can connect to the internet. it's a bit slower than usual, but i cant access the "Network Connection" Screen. Malewarebytes ran a bit slower, but it detects Nothing. now programs like Microsoft Word, Windows Defender, Even Task Manager wont open. Not only will they open, but the icons sometimes pop up on the menu bar as if they are open, but they never show on the screen. I bought a 5 in 1 defender pro kit and tried installing it. it gets stuck on "preparing to install. . . " and goes no further.

Even when I try going to safemode. I put in my password, and it goes to a black screen saying "safemode" in each corner, but it does Nothing else. i waited for 2 hours for most programs to respond and it doesnt even show an error message at all. it just gets stuck.

The only other thing that I do notice is that my 'thinking' light on my computer acts somewhat normal, but when nothing is going on (like waiting for safemode, or system restore, which didnt help either) i notice that light blinking every second.

I REALLY need help on what to do. I Have to move forward with these projects soon. Can Someone help ?

sounds like you may have a virus. I would try installing malwarebytes and AVG if you can, and run those. If they don't work, if your familiar with linux a rescue disk like kasparski rescue may be able to help you out, though you will probably need access to another computer to download and burn a rescue CD. Beyond that I would recomend reposting this question in the "am I infected" section of this forum, there are people there who specialize in malware removal that can help you far more then I could.
