BleepingComputer.com: Web page viewing

I'm using WebcamXP on an XP computer, and a Linksys WRT55AG router. In WebcamXP there is a feature "View online page" I cannot see my own page from my computer on the public IP no matter what I do. I can see it on the LAN but not the WAN.
What I see when I use the button or the address is the router box asking for a username or password to access the router. Does anyone have any idea about this? All the ports associated with the program and the cameras on two other computers have been properly forwarded. Neither I nor another fellow who is 10X more savvy than I am can figure out why I cannot view my page unless the router just plain will not allow it period. WSS

Back when I had WebcamXP i had hosted the page myself.

When you "copy code to clipboard" (there is a section for that, but i don't remember. I think its up in the menu bar) The code can be done in Flash, or Javascript.

I copied that code into a simple HTML page. Uploaded the files, and gave out that URL to people.
For mine. I had setup XAMP on my machine (unless you know what you're doing, i suggest a hosted website) It pulls from your IP address and streams it.

But like i said, this is from about a year ago. I don't have my camera set up anymore.

Are you affixing the port number to the address?

On a Windows based system (at least up to XP),Windows is unable to do address transaltion for a file on the local machine. I can't remember the exact reason why, but I used to run into the problem myself all of the time. The solution is to add an entry in your hosts file that ties the domain name with the local host.
