Right click on what?
I right click on the single-computer icon and there is no "properties."
The little icon is still thinking
I pressed the repair option and it didn't complete... just keeps thinking...........

Then click on the C:\ at the top of the open window Edit > Select All then again and copy. Paste the results in your next post.

It won`t hurt to do it now. But without a wireless connection there is no way to test it to see if the problem is solved.
It is totally up to you. But should hurt nothing to go ahead and do it.

Hi There,
Are you still there to help? Sorry it took a lot longer than I thought!
And there's been another complication, which is: I couldn't 'activate windows' so when I turned on my computer it wouldn't do anything. So, I had to reinstall XP again from scratch
However, the good news is that, I am directly connected to the internet. I would like to connect through the wireless again, but right now I just want internet explorer to open and go online will directly connected via wire.
