Hello
I'm hoping someone may be able to help me (again!)
Out of the blue my computer won't connect to the internet. The kids' laptop is fine and the connection is clearly working. The message on screen says :
"Windows cannot find 'http:/ ...... Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."
I can't get in using any of the usual methods on my desktop. I am completely ignorant of all things IT and would welcome any advice.
Hopefully yours
Chris

Presuming you have run anti virus scans, done a search for any spyware using superantispyware, perhaps you could check your system files......it sounds as if the system .exe files are not responding
Place vista disk in CD ROM....
Start->Run>sfc /scannow
there is a space between sfc and /
Click ok.....
superantispyware:
