Hi

I have a problem connecting my Windows 7 PC to my D-Link DSL-2640R router downstairs. I'm using a TRENDnet TEW 424UB Wireless adapter. The passwords ad details are all correct, and Windows informs me that connections are available, it can never connect for longer than a minute or two, sometimes longer, before it disconnects all together.

The trouble is, Im not sure if its an issue between Windows 7 and the adapter, Talk Talk ( from whom another friend has complained recently about a bad wireless connection) or a mix between the 3. I also have Xbox Live, and the connection on that is also dropping, leading me to believe its something to do with Talk Talk.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone ? I realize its something of a specialist problem, but im Helpless.

It still isn't working as of now. The settings are correct.

Im just not sure which is the problem, talk talk, windows, or the network adapter ?

When you get the connection what sort of strengths are you getting?

I would assume it's an issues with the router if both your PC and Xbox are affected but it could be interference in your home causing really poor signal strength. Try moving one into the same room and then test the connection from there, you may have to find a new area to sit your router if this is the case.
