BleepingComputer.com: Blue Screen Crash

Hi, Im new to this forum so hi everyone, hope you had good xmas period.

I get problems with my acer laptop. I keep getting blue screen crashes. There is no pattern and different error messages.
Ive tested Memory, HDD, CPU and drivers. and registry checkers, No errors found.

What I have noticed is when i wake the laptop up from a sleep nearly every time a program stops working then crashes in few minutes time. The must propely program is the `touchpad enhancement` and the touchpad works but not fully.

Sometimes when I been on it playing, programs will stop working and then crash after few minutes again

These are all yesterdays crashes, its about 3-6 crashes a day

It is either a Failing Hard drive or a Incompatible Device Driver. You can check the status of the hard drive by going to Crystal Disk Info website and download it and run it!! It will tell you the condition of your Hard drive. If it Looks bad I would suggest backing it up!!

if it is an incompatible Device driver, you could try going to Driver Agent seeing if their are any new updates for your devices and update them manually by going to Acer and download the new updates through their website.

I want to see if you have any problems reported with Visita, Please do the following:

1. Go to Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select System and Maintenance
4. Select Problem Reports and Solutions

Let me know if there is any programs that are reported having problems!!

igfxcpl module (1) program compatibility problem
Synaptics Touchpad enhancement (9) stopped working
Sysmon (1) program compatibility problem
Video Card test (1) stopped responding when closed
Windows (21) Shut down unexpectedly
windows explorer (2) stopped working


i checked for solutions but no change

I would like to see these minidumps. To better help me please do this:


1 > create a new folder on the desktop and call it "dumpcheck" or whatever you like
2 > navigate to %systemroot%\minidump and copy the last few minidump files to that folder.%systemroot% is normally c:\windows. They are numbered by date. You can paste that address in address bar to get there.
3 > close the folder and right click on it and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.
4 > use the "manage attachments" in the "advanced" reply window to upload that zip file here as an attachment.

Please send copy more than one like 3 or 4 from the previous few times, as to I can make check to make sure it is one problem in them all!!
One log is not usually sufficient to tell if that was just a random error, or occurs over and over. So you should zip 5-6 of the latest files and post them.

You have a number of devices that are causing problems:

Win32k.sys driver = Go download the Hotfix for this.
dxgkrnl.sys = Go download DirectX redistribution pack Should be Aug 2009.
gdkmd32.sys = Download the New Intel drivers from your OEM or Intel directly.


Although I don't have the complete set of Mnidumps it does look like you should update all drivers. If this still persists it could be something overheating in the motherboard or graphics card. It also could be a power supply problem.

If it keeps on happening we can try to narrow it down even more. Some of the dumps were pointing to "Hardware" but wasn't specific other than that!! Let me know, if you have more problems, I will subscribe to this thread to watch for any further developments!!

I am checking it out but it still say dxgkrnl.sys is the problem. Let me Dig deeper into this Code and see what else I can turn up. While I do this Check to make sure you have all Available video updates and Could you tell me what you were doing at the time this happened?? Maybe that will shed some light into this!!

most of the error messages do have `.sys`

i was thinking of getting microsoft 7, do you think that wud do it, maybe its vista which is corrupted.
i have reinstalled windows but using the version already on machine

everything is updated on my laptop. thats first thing i did and i use programs to check included the one you sent me.
