Someone was helping my father with his HP Pavilion ze4400 laptop. Original issue: moving slow, some malware. They replaced the Microsoft XP that was originally installed on his computer with a version of Microsoft 2000. I don't understand why this change was made, but I am guessing there must have been a good reason. Since the change most things don't work correctly (like IE and the disc drive). Now I just really want the XP that was originally on there back.
I would really appreciate any help that I can get to resolve this.
BTW - clearly I am not an advanced user but I can and will follow helpful instructions very well.
Thanks so much,
Amanda N.

That laptop should have come with a Restore CD. If you don't have one you should be able to order one from HP.
