Hi All...

I Cannot Unistal ComboFix form my Windows 7 Laptop.

I have tried the usual way or running ComboFix /U from the Run caommand.

But this just runs commbofix and does NOT uninstall combofix.

Can anyone help me to fix this issue please?

Let's try this..
Follow these steps to uninstall Combofix
•Click START then RUN
•Now type or copy and paste "c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Desktop\Combo-Fix.exe" /Uninstall in the runbox (Including the quotation marks) and click OK. Note the space between the e" and the /Uninstall, it needs to be there.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?

Hello boopme

Tynak-you for your reply.

I followed your instructions to the letter, but I am still unable to uninstall combofix!

When I ran the command you gave me I get this error :

c:\documents and settings\Administrator\Deaktop refers to a location that is unavailable.
It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or a network.
Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet vor your network,
and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.

Is there anything else i can try?

Please download OTCleanIt.exe and save to your Desktop.
  • Connect to the Internet and double-click on the file to launch the program.
  • Click on the green CleanUp! button.
  • If you get a warning from your firewall or other security programs regarding OTCleanIt attempting to contact the Internet, please allow the connection.
  • When it has finished, OTCleanIt will ask you to reboot so it can remove itself.
-- Note: Doing this will remove any specialized tools (including this one) downloaded and used. All other programs should be kept on your machine and used on a regular basis.

The Run command has changed to ComboFix /Uninstall

Hello,
OTCleanIT is actually unaivable: the download link, in fact, doesn't work so you can, instead,
download OTS by OldTimer and save it to your Desktop

Double click OTS.exe
If you are running Vista/W7 then right-click the program and choose Run as Administrator.
Click on the Posted Image button.
It will cleanup the system from tools like combofix, avenger etc.
