So I've had my computer for a little over a year and a half now, custom built. I have managed to get together some money and am looking to upgrade my video card to a newer one, and was wondering whether my current power supply would still handle it, or whether I will need to purchase a new one too.
My current specs are:
CPU: 2.4Ghz Intel Quad Core #Q6600
Motherboard: Gigabyte LGA775
RAM: Corsair 2x 2GB DDR2-800
Video Card: Gigabyte 8800GT 512MB
Power Supply: Highpower (HPC500-G12S) 500W
HDD: 1x Western Digital 500GB and 1x Western Digital 1TB
I'm looking to get a Gigabyte GTX275 896MB Video Card. Would my current power supply still be able to power everything or should I really look at upgrading that too? and if so what should I upgrade to? Preferably something not too expensive though.
