malware how to get rid of malware

Hi there,

my 'puter has the 'controlpanel', 'popcorn72.exe' malware. how do i get it off? this is on 98se. however i have dual booting, so i also have xp, but that is not infected. how can i remove it?

Have you tried the usual removal applications Ad-AwareSE and Spybot S&D as well as run your resident AV in safe mode?

i tried the spy bot and the ad-ware se. it did not work. I then tried hijack this which i already had and did not know it...thanks though for the replies... i would not have known of spybot without it, thanks much
