Hi My name is Mike and I am a Computer Tech living in the north Queensland city of Townsville.
I run my own very small business from home.
I am a semi retired ex military member of the Australian Army and have qualified from TAFE (college) with a diploma of network engineering.

I have just completed a 14 month maintenance contract with a local high school providing hardware repair support to over 1100 desktop and laptop computers (CWS, Dell 740's, D520, D530, E5400 and Lenovo R61 and R400) and printers and scanners.

I have been a tech for the last 8 years mostly working on home computers doing virus removals, hardware upgrades, fault finding, ADSL and ADSL2+ installations and some home networking. I also provide support to a couple of ex service organisations and also to pensioners.

My hobbies include Weather watching, fishing, photography and motorsport.
