You will need to assign a program to open the files.

First, you'll need to know the file extension.

Next open up my computer from your desktop. Click on Tools/Folder Options.

Click File Types tab. Scroll down the list until you see the file extension.
Highlight the extension, click Change, choose what you want to open the file.
Click Apply.

Hopefully this will work for you.

The file extension: what type of file.
Examples are .jpeg, .mp3, .gif, etc.
This is the file format. The type of file sometimes dictates what program will open the file.

The attachment should tell you the extension.
filename .jpeg, .mp3, etc.

When you look at the file name, what type is it?

I've circled the attachment in RED, where "Luis Sousa.vcf" is the attachment and .vcf is the file extension.

Simply put, a file extension refers to the letters (after the .) that tell the user what kind of file it is, to know which application would be necessary to view/edit it.

So what kind of extension is it?

Sorry I did'nt get back to you sooner. Thanks for all your help but this thing has a bug or some crap that's messing it all up. Not that having me using it helps. I'm really slow here. I've now lost sound? It says I have no device hooked up and I do have it hooked up. I think I deleted it on accident? It's always something and I believe I'll get another tower, this one seems to always have bugs. I need to buy a really great antivirus program. None seem to be fool proof? I did try to do what you asked of me in my mail and it got the best of me. See, I just don't get it? Give me time, I'll try again. Thank you. Your words are wonderful and scary when you're me!
