Hello,
I had to use my Recovery disk to Restore my OS(XP) after some problems on my Emachine. I used the Restore with the back up option.
Everything is back up and running normally I also downloaded all of the Windows updates. I can see the Backup file on my hard drive(and its content) but not sure how to restore my files. The only ones I am really concerned about is my Picassa as it has all of my pictures on it and my Itunes libarary.

Restore/recovery mechanisms...are the province of the system manufacturer.
Details for such are usually available in the user/owner manual and/or at the respective website of the system manufacturer.
eMachines what model (e.g., T1234)? Have you checked your manual?
