I installed a new vid card. a PNY Verto GeForce 8400 GS. and it is running at a steady temp of 136 Fahrenheit.(58 C)
Should I be concerned about this,or is this normal for the card to run this hot?

What's the normal temp for a cpu

Quote

Under heavy load (like when playing 3D games) GeForce cards are normal under 100-110 Celsius.

Most 8400GS users have reported running temperatures ranging between 48-60 C, so 58 C is quite alright.
You only need to worry if it crosses 75 C.

Assuming your card is actively cooled by a fan, you could try tweaking your card's fan speed using RivaTuner.

In reference to garmanma, 100 to 110 C ,to me seems way to high. but if it is normal under a heavy load I guess It will be ok.

to all who have helped,Thank You for responding.

thanks for the link. but I did notice that your answer contradicts what garmanma has posted.
Do you have any validation to your answer,or is it just your opinion.

Validation comes from the various 8400GS user experiences I had gone through earlier.
A simple search should list the same.
