Hello. More often than not the past few days when I try to open a certain program
it says "there is not enough memory to open this, try closing other programs"
The only thing is, it happens when I have like nothing open and am trying to
open like say "my documents".
I ran the CCleaner.....is there something else I need to do or what?
Also once this happens and I reboot.....all my "remember me" logins from emails
or live journal are gone.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here?
Thank You
-Cheryl

How much RAM do you have?
Do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete to bring up your Task Manager.
Click the Processes tab, and see what's using all of your memory.
Could be a virus/malware infection.

I'm not very familiar with 95/98/ME.
What version of Windows are you using?
Can you get to the Task Manager by right clicking the Task Bar?

This is not an option in 95/98/ME. About the only way to locate the problem program is to Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click on a program and End Task then try to open your program or folder and see if the message appears. Do not End Task Explore or Systray this will maybe produce the program with the memory leak.

You have a program loading that is a bad install or poorly written and causing a memory leak.
Have you installed any hardware &/or programs just before this started?
Option 1
Start>Run>(type) msconfig>Startup Tab
Do a Google search on each program running if it isn't necessary then uncheck it and reboot.
Option 2
Malware &/or Spyware
