BleepingComputer.com: eViewer.exe

Hi guys!

Just wondering if anyone can help me with my problem?
I was to view pictures I have stored on my hard drive but i cannot open it, I get a program not found window with the following:

Windows can not find eViewer.exe

This is the file needed for opening files of type 'JPG File'.

It then says

Location of eViewer.exe: C:/

but still cannot locate eViewer.exe

I am using windows 98.

Your help and assistance is highly appreciated!

Hello bhi and welcome to BC.

Not sure what eViewer is. Did you have this program on your computer at some time?

The default program to open .jpg files is Mspaint. To return to that you can highlight any .jpg file then, while holding down the Shift key, right click and select Open with...In the box that pops up scroll down to Mspaint and highlight that. Make sure there is a checkmark in the box that says "Always use this program to open this type of file. Click ok. You will have reset the .jpg file association back to Mspaint.

Having said that, a much better free program to view and manipulate pictures is IrfanView.
