Hello, Okay so the other day when I turned on my computer I discovered my active desktop was turned off,
when I click 'Restore Active Desktop' I get this message.

Posted Image

If the image is too small this is what it says:

Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occurred with a script on this page

Line:65
Char:1
Error:Object doesn't support this action
Code:0
URL:file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Owner/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Internet%20Explorer/Desktop.htt

Whether or not I choose to keep running scripts on the page, nothing changes.

btw I DO NOT use Internet Explorer.

What Is causing this? I saw somewhere else online that this might be caused
by a Trojan. Hopefully this Isn't the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-Josh

Check to see if your computer is infected.

Download and run SuperAntiSpyware:

http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html

When installed on your computer,
on the SuperAntiSpyware Main Page,
you can also click on the link at the bottom:

"Find out what's running on your computer!"

You can send in unknown files for analysis by the SAS team;
you should get feedback if you supply an email address
and there's a problem file or files.

Also Download and run Malwarebytes:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

It's always worth using more than one scanner.

Try this to restore Active Desktop: right click blank area of background, select properties, select Desktop, select Customize Desktop, select Web, in Web make sure Lock items to desktop is checked OK , OK and desktop should be restored if this does not work don't know what else to try.
