XP Repair install issue

I put in the XP cd but it comes up as something about partitions and it wants me to select the partition I want to use. But there is not an option for repair install.HElp? I want to do the repair intstall.

Repair installs of XP may not be possible with recovery/restore CDs which are issued by a system manufacturer (HP, Dell, etc.).

Yes, it is recommended to use a Windows Install disk for a clean/repair install and the "Select the partition I want to use" option is usually presented to you, right before you start installing.
