I had a Western Digital ehd 500gb that started clicking after about 4 years. Fortunatly enough I still have the original, it was only a back up of pics and vids. I would like to stay away from WD, and was looking at seagate but from what I have read, it sounds like I should stay away from seagate? Has anyone had any experience with any seagate or wd ehd that could lend an opinion. I know that asking an ehd to go 4 years was prob not a good idea, so now I know to make a b/u of the b/u. I am open to consider most brands and will probably purchase from "Best Buy". I am looking for something about 1tb to 1.5tb. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have used Western Digital and seagate with no problems.Having said that. My local Inter Premier store recommends Seagate because they have less problems with them.

I've been using a Seagate ehd as a backup for 4 years now with no problems at all and I've just purchased the seagate 1Tb ehd to go with the WD Live Media player. I bought that drive on reccomendation from 2 friends who have been using for quite some time.
