Hello! All at once NONE of my cd burning programs are working (itunes, cakewalk, windows media player, Nero). I'm using the same discs....everything! The burn starts, but ends prematurely......usually with an error code (different ones, that I cannot find explanations for.) I have cleaned the burner. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Dump your old burning app and download this http://www.imgburn.com/ it is rated highly on most geek sites and does the job required, Neosmart even tell you to use this when downloading recovery discs for XP Vista and Win7 !

Try it, hope this sorts you out !

FWIW,

Optic drive functions don't alway fail at once...Are you able to play already recorded CD's with no issues? I recently had a similar problem with a DVD burner...Installed a new one and problem was resolved...
Does this look like an OldGrumpyBastard or what?
