Hi,
Short story:
I don't have any sound coming out of my speakers/headphones.
Long story:
A program was not responding so I opened task manager and went to end the process, i accidentally ended one of the svchost.exes which gave me a warning that my computer would shut down in 1min. The computer then restarted and when it was all fully loaded I had no sound, I went to check the sound icon in the task bar but it wasn't there.
A Google search brought me to Here. I followed garmanma's advice and went to the device manager. The only exclamation mark was System Devices > then something to do with plug and play. I proceeded to uninstall it (in retrospect I shouldn't have done this). I then restarted the PC, I still have no sound and no idea how to fix my problem.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

You must install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack1 on the PC before installing these drivers.
