The computer starts to boot, then stops and tries to starts up over and over. It will not start in safe mode unless I hit the Esc key to load the SPTD file.
This file is at: windows\system32\driver\SPTD

Where is the instruction or command to load this file stored?

Before this occurred, I was getting an error that the windows loader was not operating.

I ran virus and malware test. OK

Please help!!!
Thanks!!!

If you have the Windows XP CD on you, you could do a REPAIR INSTALL.
That should sort things out.
