pc going into power saving mode...

well if another video card did not work, and its not the PSU, then It leaves 2 things left. first, what Im thinking is its likely to be a bad motherboard. the other, is a memory issue, though if that were the case it should be making some sort of beeping sound other then the normal beep of turning it on (each motherboard has a different set of tones for memory error) though I think I would try messing with the memory a bit (taking out one of the modules, interchanging them, trying different slots or maybe even totally different memory modules if possible) then if that does nothing I would call it a dead motherboard and go from there.
