SAFE MODE I CAN'T GET OUT OF SAFE MODE EVEN BY STARTING IN NORMAL...F8 FUNCT

Get out of safe modeI HAD EXPLORER 8 AND A COMP TECH FRIEND SAID TO REMOVE IT TO SPEED MY COMP UP AND RUN IN EXPLORER 7.
I RE-MOVED IT AND IMMEDIATLY AFTER SHE WENT INTO SAFE MODE......NOTHING I TRIED WORKS. I ADDED EXPLORER 8 BACK THINKING I MAY HAVE AFFECTED PROGRAMS ADDED AFTER I INSTALLED EXPLORER 8 THE FIRST TIME. STILL NO HELP. CAN'T GET OUT OF SAFE-MODE!!! ):-(((

how did you remove it? did you use the uninstall utility, control panel or what?

revo from my research looks like its a good uninstall tool, however, that being said, Internet explorer, being microsoft, is very much integrated into windows registry. Revo, may (not sure about this its just a theory) have done to good of a job, and erased certain parts of your registry, causing the problems your having now. do you know how to do a system restore? if not heres a quick tutorial. go to start > programs > accessories > system tools > System restore, then from the menu choose restore to an earlier time. it will not erase any of your files. try that, and see if it works or not.

This is probably the easiest way, under the circumstances, to use System Restore. Usually when one starts in safe mode a box will come up asking if you want to use System Restore or start in safe mode. If that comes up when booting into safe mode, just pick System Restore.

Did you by any chance go into MSConfig and check the box to start in safe mode?
