What I wonder, however, is whether any of the techs who use ComboFix every day in their business cleaning their paying customers computers ever consider making a donation. If not, well, shame on each and every one of you. (The link is on the "A guide and tutorial on using ComboFix" page.)

Dang good point so I just did. I have so many customers that have benifited that it was time to pony up. If we all do it... and it doesn't take much, sUBs would hear our collective "thank you" in a very benificial language.

THANKS sUBs and all of the other people supporting this totally incredible program, it is MUCH appreciated

Just wanted to say thank's to sUBs for all his work and to report that I used the beta combofix from the twitter page to successfully remove Antivirus Live. Keep up the good work!

Damn! I was so incensed by our "hostile copyright infringer" I had to put my hand in my pocket and make a donation to sUBs. Thing is, I don't even use CF, I leave that to Corrine!

Hi,

First off, there IS NO better tool. Sure there will be argument yet I'd bet a bank account they could not rid a system of a specific virus given
ANY tool & ComboFix can! And did!!!!

Also you stated:
"First of all, if you can't fix an infection without ComboFix then I suggest you should really start learning some of the other tools that can be found on
the web. There are many tools that would allow you to remove almost any infection if you learned how to use them."

As correct as you are, that's not true. There's a virus like trojan that I named (rightfully so) 'REPLICATORS'. Why? Cause usually 3 or more files keep
replicating when deleted & their names are NEVER the same but the files are. Every time ANY Anti-Spyware application gets a lock and fixes, these
replicators keep on replicating & the spyware programs (ALL OF THEM except possibly Malware bytes) cannot defeat this attack or infection.
BUT............
Combofix was, and as far as I know 'IS' the ONLY tool to stop and clean it up. Period!

I have been asked to fix a great many pc's after all the shops insisted that their machines had to be wiped. I stepped in with Combofix & not one of
these people lost one iota of data.

So you may think there are tools that equal yours, but I have yet to find one to remove & clean a Replicator infestation. I couldn't even keep up with
them manually, cleaning the new registry key for the new file and deleting the new file. As soon as one was touched another appeared, different name
but the same files... Manually I did better or the same as any tool out there! But I (thankfully) don't hold a candle to you and Combofix.

So as grateful as we are, don't assume there is a tool that can measure up to your true abilities. There isn't... For me it's easier if I can clean something
up myself instead of going through the whole process. But when it's needed there is no denying that it's the only tool that is capable.

Thanks sincerely,
hkb

Sorry about your trouble boys, people are odd in the fact they deserve a free product from a developer - despite the fact its your time, effort, and research. Not that Combofix is necessary thanks to the efforts of many other people - the authors of gmer, dial-a-fix, Icesword, ATF cleaner, SDFix, LSPFix, RSIT, OTViewIT, and the people over at SysInternals(and plenty of other tools that I've missed) that all can do the same thing(and more) but alas, with far more effort. In any case I hope you continue to develop and support Combofix, and I appreciate the tool immensely. If there is a PayPal account setup for BleepingComputer/ComboFix I'd happily donate a Xmas gift here, I think I more then owe some money for the amount we use ComboFix here. Thank you.

All, I'm really sorry this guy decided he needed to be such an ass about this. I work in a tech shop and there hasn't been a day since I discovered this site I haven't used some tool from it. The work you all do allows me and co-workers to help more people, more effectively and I want to thank you and let you know that we support you.

I can’t imagine a world without combofix this is one true wonder in the computer age, if we lose combofix then the people who create viruses wins. Please keep it alive we need to show the good people that not all things on the net are bad, "COMBOFIX RULES"

Yes there is a PayPal account to help support the developer's (tireless) work. The link is on the "A guide and tutorial on using ComboFix" page.

Words cannot express my complete contempt for that moron, nor can they adequately express my appreciation for all the work behind ComboFix.

I always make donations to the creators of the tools I use, because as the old saying goes "Money talks and ... walks".
Thank you for what you do and try to ignore the morons. Like the poor, they will always be with us.

Semper Fi!

I understand your fight against those that do not play fair. Seems to be a lot of that going on in the world & although unfortunate for those of us that must spend our time & energy fighting for a cause, I do believe that the Laws of the Universe, God or whatever name you choose to give It, handle such people in It's own way.

What goes around, comes around, as they say. The great thing about such Laws are that we do not need to personally do anything to see them implemented...The Universe takes care of itself :-)

Kudos to you & sUBs & thank you for your efforts!
