I have a Kodak all-in-one esp 3250 printer. I've installed all drivers, programs, etc for it.

After a few print jobs, it will stop printing entirely. Also, some of my USB devices (my external harddrive, webcam) will fail to work, but not all of them (my mouse still works).

I use Windows Vista 64 bit, service pack 2.

this error shows nothing in both event log and reliability and performance monitor, so i'm unsure how to troubleshoot this.

thanks for any help, i've had no luck searching.

Are you using a network printer?

General USB Problems in Windows XP - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310575

I would go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USB controllers (not devices, controllers) and then reboot.

I am not, I am wired directly through a USB cable.

But what do usb controllers do? And would it be safe to uninstall them?

I looked through my BIOS and I found a setting "Use USB controller" - should I do that instead?
