I'm trying to figure out how to boot some tools over the network. I've found that I can use RIS/WDS to boot Windows installations over the network, and can also use PE's with RIS/WDS. But I need to boot ISOs. I have many of my tools including HDD/Memory diagnostics, cloning utilities, and so on in ISO format. The problem is employees constantly leave discs/flashdrives in customer machines (it's a repair workshop), and I'm also concerned about some low-level employee snagging a tools disc with proprietary software and quiting.
I need a way to boot an ISO file over the network to avoid this. The two prime examples are Seagate Seatools and Hiren's Boot Disc. I can't figure out how to do this! And MiniXP environments (which WILL work with RIS/WDS) don't let me use boot-level tools like Seatools, just Windows-based tools. GRRR.
If anyone has any insight, PLEASE HELP!
Thanks,
-Joel

Have you tried mounting the ISOs with like PowerISO or Daemon Tools, then sharing the mounted CD rom and try to run them the same way you would installing an OS?
