Windows 7 Ultimate loaded onto a custom built system with 4 WD 500 gb drives
My problem is that the 4th. drive is not shown in the computer section of the system, only 3 are shown
All 4 have been setup and configured in the BIOS

Any insights?

Might be a stupid question, but is the drive initialized, partitioned and formatted?

Click Start Menu. Right-click on Computer and select Manage. In the Computer Management, select Storage > Disk Management. Do you see your hard disk there ?

I do, but it's listed under disk 3 as "D" and "E" clumped together.
What gives?

I do not understand what you mean clumped together under disk 3? Is it showing disk 3 and 4 both under disk 3?
Can you attach a screen shot of the Disk Management window ?
