Cleared BIOS

Ok so i removed the cmos battery and now the computer will now show anything on the screen...
I think that I heard that this was normal (think that im wrong tho), and if it is, what can I do now?

Did you put the battery back in? And why did you take it out in the first place?

Yes I put it back in, and I removed it because it wouldn't let me in to the BIOS
It didn't have the HDD to boot up (i believed) turns out the HDD was faulty, but I can't turn back now...

I'd suggest trying to update the BIOS, if you can.

kinda hard to update the bios if the screen wont show anything. if the screen is not showing anything and the battery is put in correctly, and all core components (CPU, memory, etc.) are installed right, then chances you fried the BIOS. this can happen by the board being not of the highest quality to begin with, sometimes it just happens, but can also happen if you didn't ground yourself out right and static electricity shorted something. so double check that everythings hooked up right, try removing the battery and reinserting it again one more time, and make sure you got it in right (it can be hard to tell sometimes) but if that doesnt work you may be out of luck.

Possibly...the battery is dying/dead and needs replacing.

CMOS Battery Replacement - http://www.liverepair.com/encyclopedia/art...cmosreplace.asp. Ignore instructions to write down settings, that used to be necessary on some systems...the default settings just kick in now.
