My network has been running via a Linksys WRT150N for a year or two now at least, and it still works... The router does, anyhow. The software I installed on each of our wireless computers upon initial setup is not, however, and has not be working properly for a while now. It wasn't that helpful even when it did work...

Anyhow, I may be getting a new Linksys router soon, and I wanted to get rid of the mess Easylink Advisor has made on my PC. I think I deleted some of it, but it still shows up in the Control Panel, and the uninstall window hangs about halfway through the process. I was able to delete the whole Linksys Easylink Advisor folder once, but the the uninstaller couldn't find the "AUinstall.dll" file, or something, so I restored that folder... However, the link which actually seems to start the Advisor program seems to be gone? I also tried a fix that involved adding quotation marks to the uninstall registry string, but that didn't help either.

I tried to reinstall the Advisor, and that failed as well. As is, I've got a faulty Linksys Easylink Advisor program on my PC, which is likely to muck up (or at least complicate) a future installation of another Linksys router.

Can anyone help me get rid of this program, or at least get it working properly? Thanks in advance...

This issue might be better served going to this forum. Because you are actually talking about how to uninstall a program more than a networking issue. Altho I am sure most people that come to this forum could help you, you'd be better served I think in the All Other Program forum.

Good luck =)
