I haven't been able to install flash in Ubuntu 9.10. Everything else
seems to be ok. Is there a way to install it in the terminal?

Nope, that didn't work, I keep getting this message:
The package adobe-flashplugin needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

Try this:
This should uninstall and delete adobe-flashplugin, flashplugin-nonfree, and flashplugin-installer. If successful, try the command I gave you earlier.
If that fails, try these commands:

sudo apt-get purge adobe-flashplugin flashplugin-nonfree flashplugin-installer

If that fails, try these commands:
sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/adobe-flashplugin.prerm
sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq adobe-flashplugin

Thanks MadDawg tried those with no success.
I'm hanging it up for the night and pick it up again
tomorrow....this installation of Ubuntu was by WUBI
Could that be the problem? Maybe tomorrow, I'll just
remove it and use a CD to re-install the whole system.
Thanks again.

Now this is really weird, I booted up this morning and did nothing to the pc
except try to install Adobe Flash....It worked and I didn't get any error
messages. That's really spooky.....There were no updates or anything
so what the heck could that have been. Anyone experience this kind
of phenom?
I appreciate you guys helping. I was just ready to do a reinstall and thought
I would give this one last shot....I'm happy about this but really confused.

I guess there was a process interfering with the install or something. I'm glad you got it working, though.
