As you can see I'm relatively new to Bleeping Forums. I read peoples threads and as I do over at Wilders Security forums, I click reply to offer help if I can. Unfortunately I get told I'm not allowed to do that here, to avoid giving the poster problems. So what's the point of reading posts if only to see what a posters problem is?

As far as I know, you can help any Member in any Forum, except the HJT Forum, where only Malware Experts, are allowed to Reply.

That's my understanding,anyway.

As mentioned by DSTM, only staff (Mods and up), and the member who originally started the topic, are allowed to post in the HijackThis Logs and Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal forum.

Any other forum is fair game.
When posting to the Am I infected? What do I do? forum be advised that there are restrictions, as to what can be posted:
