Purchased a new lap top for wife 2 weeks ago. ACER Aspire. Worked fine. This morning, mouse pad no longer works.
I have tried Fn+F7, and uninstalling driver and reinstalling. Still not working. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

The model is #5517-5136

Also, I went into System recover and reloaded the driver.
Still no luck.

Thanks

Bill

 It looks like it may be a hardware problem and not a simple driver or feature problem. Since the laptop is so new I would take it to where you purchased it and have them take a look at it. I would back up anything of importance before you take it in, since they will likely restore it to factory as a means of trouble shooting.
