 :flowers: hi there in cyber space! This emoticon you see is me after finding out that I spent the last 2 days re-booting, re-configuring re-programming and kicking my latest puter project only to find it's still missing a "required file in order to reboot! LOL. I found this site by chance and decided to check it out. I'm typically surrounded by five or more of my computers including laptops and pc's as I continue my education in "love bytes", the school of hard knocks! LOL. I have been working on and with computers since the Commodore 64 came out, yep now you know, dinosaur, lol and tore into my first puter exploration with my Tandy TL1000 for those of you around in the "dark ages" lol. Since then I have learned on my own, programming, writing code, how to get into trouble setting up your own network, static electricity and it's effects on puter parts, what happens when laptops hit the floor, broken laptop power jacks and how Not to take a laptop apart (what or where did this come from?!), and last but not least, huh, that's not the correct boot sequence! Oh S#@*! Anyway, I guess I am addicted to tinkering with my collection currently at around 14, some of which are now shells and spare parts as they have become obsolete. Anyway, I'm always looking to learn new things as I know I will never be able to know everything about puters. As soon as you think you do, something else pops up. Just wanted to say hey to all of you sharing this wonderful experience of dealing with our puters. Take care and have a great day!

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.
