I'm an almost-69 year old whose first computer was the Epson QX-10 (cearly 1980's). About once ayear one of my grown kids' computers ends up on my living room floor using my Sharp wide-screen tv for a monitor.

Using my wireless keyboard and mouse, I sit on the sofa and begin to untangle what used to be an orderly hard drive that DIDN'T have trojans, viruses and missing boot sectors.

I retired almost 2 years ago from Sharp Labs of the Americas in Camas, WA where I was a software quality engineer for printer and document management software. My special interests were user interfaces (on anything, anywhere- not just in computer programs) and acess to electronic media by people with special limitations (sight, physical dexterity, hearing, etc.).

I'm here to meet people with expertiese I don't have so that I can broaden my ability to keep my friends' and family's computers doing what they're supposed to with minimal fuss.

Here's my 'life's' blog: http://www.chuckpierson.com/wordpress/
