Have Spybot fix the problems it finds.
Try running it, and Ad-aware, in Safe Mode. How to start Windows in Safe Mode QUOTE when i use Did it say it was changed, or did it ask you if you wanted to allow the change?internet explorer a pop up jumps up and says a registry entry has been changed This was probably Spybot's TeaTimer. If it ever asks to allow a registry change, deny it, unless it's from a program you're installing. TeaTimer will pop up, and ask if you want to allow the change, anytime something tries to make a registry change. That's what protects you from the "1173 processes blacklisted" (spyware). -------------------- I love being married.
It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy, for the rest of your life. |

Teatimer runs in the background and protects you FROM 1173 items it considers to be spyware, just as TG1911 noted in his last sentence. While those popups can be annoying, they are helping to protect your computer from malware making unauthorised changes to your programs and applications.
If these popups happen for no reason, and you have not updated an application or consciously downloaded something, then use the popup to deny the changes. Hope this helps, Regards, John This post has been edited by jgweed: Aug 15 2005, 01:25 PM -------------------- Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.
