Ah, I see. Well I wouldn't really have a need for that myself. But hey, I see the uses!

I think I used a similar thing like Speed Fan, maybe it was Speed Fan? I forget the name, but there was a temp moniter in it too which I used for stress testing when I OC'd my CPU. Using Riva Tuner atm to set my GPU fan to load at 50% from boot. And also using it for my card OC'ing.

Back to the build though.
So, if we want to edit digital vid. and do some real nice photo Graphics (modded pics, prints, graphic presentations ), then 8g would be beneficial? I do like to dig into photo editing and look forward to making edited vid some time (wife wants to ). I have seen some great, home made photo/vid dvd. It seems to be the future, for home movies.
Do matched sets of Ram make any real difference. I noticed that the 8g sets seam to cost much more than two sets of 4g.

Would 8gig make running a virus scan, while multi tasking possible? I could use that abitity as well.

Yep yep thats the type of thing. I like the interfacing ability and need controllable fans to really do it well.

The selected CPU cooler has a 3 pin connector... I found a replacement fan for it, that is a black 4 pin connector. But it cost $43.00 shipping from the one site that googles up (2nd-3rd day ups). I'm not sure mounting points are the same.
This is the sink that its on.ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling .
Strange that the same cooler with other fans, comes with retention hardware for AM3, but not this one. The retainers would probably be cheaper than new fan( by lots).
Anyone with PWM fans not liking it? I have read that the PWM, can emit vibration. IDK.

Heres the needed fan. 92mm fans are used on CNPS9500 series
Has anyone a good review of seller.

I have read all this and I might of missed some thing. What I'm saying is why not a full size ATX case? It would make putting ever thing together a lot easier and room for adding any thing in the future. Corsair 900d is one choice. The price has went down a little.

Layback Bear, you are correct that the larger cases are indeed more accommodating. They have lots of room, and are set up for addition of many great upgrades. The case I chose is listed in earlier post, and really doesn't have all things going for it, at all. But I had my reasons for the buy and I just did. Sort of like the four or five free(from buddies and relatives) full boxes i have, I will just make do at this point. Modding of the Smilodon will be easy, I have lots of experience (and tools for) doing all types of metal and plastic work. My vid cards(1 for now) and all will fit. In the future I can remove the mobo tray(this case has fold down and removable sides) and all, to mod to accommodate the larger single 1X2Xgpu card. I don't know, maybe at that time I'll switch the whole rigs insides to another case.
For now, the mid tower will fit where my pc now resides. The cases silly door(my first case with a door) will open the right direction and I have the case already.

All is well. I got the parts and buttoned it all up over the week end. Wow, It all fits nice. All fans are controlled for now. The Mobo is just the sweetest. The Bios and I are realy getting to know one--another. So many things to do after booting up. I want to THANK all that helped and submitted input on the project. All is way smooth for now.:)

Yep IGR, your right. The Sig does need some work.

Thanks Bear, All things considered, It has indeed turned out real sweet. The wife complains that the room is way to quiet now. Funny stuff.
I still have lots of software to find and load. Finding 64 bit and W-7 compatibility tested / certified system bloat is proving to be a learning experience.

Watched my first You tube vid without stutter the other day  . Good times to all, and Merry Christmas (if your so inclined).

As a update: I just wanted to say thanks again, for all the help. The Box is doing real well. I just finished Crysis (orig) and never saw a temp over 45c CPU or 51c NB(all high settings). Real happy with the performance thus far. Win-7 seams to be an OK OS:). Not sure how to make it a single click system yet? Just don't like the extra mouse noise lol. Seams to run allot of my older software (massive compatibility menu). I have yet to OC, but I've yet to need the boost. All seams stable to this point. I look forward to future builds and continued involvement here. BC Has proven again to be a great community.

If 7 is like XP go to control panel and click on the folder with the check mark and you will find single click.

Wow, That was about a 10 second fix. Thanks LayBack, It is very similar but, lots more eye candy. Makes finding some of the familiar, abit odd. But it seams to have worked .
